Christmas in July ... Well, sort of!

I'm thinking of doing some family sessions for all you people who love getting family portraits for Christmas Card fun! Chris & I would set up a fun studio setting with super cool props, or shoot on location in your home or somewhere else... What'dya think? Email me if you're interested and we'll go from there! As September gets closer, I'll have even more details. And I just thought this was sooo funny:

Mike Carlson - Class of '09!

Just finished up an awesome Senior Sesh with an awesome Senior-to-Be...Here's a taste of what went down tonight in downtown Vegas!!! :)

Kicking some Sciatica bootie ...

So, I'm not sure how many people actually follow my blog, but whether it's 1 or 100 I want to keep this thing up to date! I haven't been blogging lately because my husband has come down with a nerve issue called Sciatica...it's left him in a lot of pain and he's having trouble walking or even sitting up to eat! Don't freak out just yet - the bad news is it SUCKS right now...but, the good news is that usually it clears up and doesn't come back. If it does - well, that's another story but it'll lead to X-Rays and MRI's and all kinds of not fun stuff. So, I'm playing Nurse for now - please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! It's definitely not fun to watch the guy I love suffer. :( On photo news: I have a super fun Senior Sesh with Mike Carlson on Thursday. He's wanting it to be a really cool downtown setting - he'll bring his bass guitar - all the makings for a fun time. :) Until then - off to rid the world .. well, my husband ... from this nuisance known as Sciatica! (Cue superhero musical anthem)

4th of July Madness!

So, as I said earlier, I had a fun Fourth of July. But someone who wasn't so lucky was the little plastic army man my husband, cousin Joey, brother in law Matt, and brother in law Richard decided to blow up. He lasted a few rounds, the brave little guy, but in the end he was no match for grown children with overpriced, last minute fireworks.

A moment of silence for the little man ...

Okay - on to some photos!!! :)

Hehe.

I shot my Father-in-Law ...

Haha, that sounds funny. Wooo, am I entertaining myself this morning or what? It could be that I got up at 4 am to go to a photo sesh with the Father-in-Law for his website (a follow up from the shoot I did of his team in Denver)...pretty laid back and simple shoot...a few easy, breezy, beautiful shots at the park by his house. I've posted a few of my fave shots for your enjoyment. :)

I had to get to these photos first ... so I haven't looked at all the Fourth of July craziness I captured...let's just say it included some slight law "bending" and a very brave, although extremely unfortunate, toy soldier.

I'll post those sometime today or tomorrow! Next Thursday I have a super awesome Senior Sesh with a really cool guy and his bass guitar. Should be a blast!

Still looking for purple stuff, but wouldn't you know it - everything in Vegas seems to be brown, green, brown, and brown...hopefully I will find some fun stuff downtown next week. :)

Zoo Day - Finally!

I know, I promised photos of our Zoo Day in Colorado like a week ago! It's been nuts getting back to my "grown-up job" and get settled back in after 2 weeks of traveling - but here they are!

We had so much fun at the Denver Zoo, but it was HOT...I didn't get a ton of photos, but here are some of my faves from the animals I could get semi-close to. :) Enjoy!
